Home away from home?is a collection of the unique stories written by foreigners in China and compiled by?Master Translations Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "MTS"),?Babel Tower Translation Service Co., Ltd.?and?Moze (Beijing) Technology Communication Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Moze"), aiming to explore the unique stories of approximately 100 foreign friends who came to China from all over the world.?These stories give them a chance to express?their feelings (curiosity and loss due to cultural shock), their experiences in overcoming differences, and various things that might have happened e.g. "interesting moment" and "embarrassing moment" in their studies, work and travel.《家外之家》是一本外國人在中國的獨(dú)特故事集，由外國人撰寫，廈門精藝達(dá)翻譯服務(wù)有限公司（以下簡稱“精藝達(dá)”）、巴別塔（深圳）翻譯有限公司、墨責(zé)（北京）科技傳播有限公司（以下簡稱“墨責(zé)”）面向全國共同征集匯編，探尋記錄100位外籍友人從五湖四海來到華夏大地，從新奇、茫然到文化沖撞、從克服差異到尋找內(nèi)蘊(yùn)，在學(xué)習(xí)、工作、旅行中發(fā)生各種“趣事”“囧事”，以及他們?nèi)绾螌Υ@些體驗(yàn)、獲得經(jīng)驗(yàn)和安居樂業(yè)的。

Let’s be honest, every little girl wants to grow up to be a princess. We all do! I know I sure did. As a child in Texas, I often found any excuse to don a fancy gown with a matching tiara. As an adult I have made numerous treks to Disneyland with friends and family. So, imagine my excitement in the fall of 2017 when Disney English (“DE”) selected me to teach!說實(shí)話，每個(gè)小女孩長大之后都想做公主吧！大家都這樣，我也不例外。作為一個(gè)在德克薩斯州長大的小孩，我總是想方設(shè)法地穿上漂亮精致的裙子，戴上配套的王冠。長大之后，我也經(jīng)常和家人朋友去迪士尼旅游。所以，當(dāng)2017年我成功選上迪士尼英語的老師時(shí)，我高興極了！

Honestly, I never thought in my lifetime that I would be living in China, but my husband’s dream brought me to this heaven on earth. Just like many Indian women, who instead of following their dreams end up following and supporting their husband’s. In 2007, I moved to China from Indonesia to support him and his dreams. The first city I visited was Quanzhou in Fujian Province, with my husband and my son who was just a year old.老實(shí)說，我這輩子從沒想過會(huì)住在中國，但我丈夫的夢想把我?guī)У搅诉@個(gè)天府之國。就像許多印度女性一樣，她們沒有追隨自己的夢想，而是決定追隨并支持丈夫的夢想。2007年，我從印度尼西亞搬到中國，支持我的丈夫和他的夢想。我第一次去的城市是福建泉州，和我的丈夫以及剛滿一歲的兒子一起。

I remember my first full day in China at the new school I was contractually obligated to live and work at for the next 6 months. Because of jet lag I woke up really early and had hours until I met my boss, so I decided to explore the area around the campus, and maybe find the city center and places like supermarkets and restaurants in my new home in Zhejiang Province.我還記得我第一天到中國新學(xué)校的場景，而且接下來的六個(gè)月我都必須要在中國生活和工作。因?yàn)闀r(shí)差的關(guān)系，我醒得很早，距離見到老板還有好幾個(gè)小時(shí)，于是我決定去校園周圍轉(zhuǎn)轉(zhuǎn)，或許能在我的新家——浙江，試著找到市中心，或是超市和餐館

On January 1st 2013, I was sitting with a friend eating brunch in Manchester, nursing a particularly bad hangover, and reflecting on the previous year. I made a promise that in 2013, I would move to a different country for work.? On February 2nd, I landed in Madrid, Spain, which is a different story. On July 17th 2013, I landed in Fuzhou, Fujian ready to start “a year, maybe two in China” working as an English teacher at a training school. I moved across the strait to Taipei for a few years before returning back to Fuzhou, and eventually moving to Xiamen, a city I first visited in October 2013. 8 years later, I still have no plans to go back to the UK.2013 年 1 月 1 日，在曼徹斯特一夜宿醉過后，我和一個(gè)朋友正坐著吃早午餐，并反思過去的一年。我曾下定決心要在 2013 年搬到另一個(gè)國家工作。于是 2 月 2 日，我降落在西班牙馬德里，這又是另外的故事了。2013 年 7 月 17 日，我降落在福建福州，準(zhǔn)備在一所培訓(xùn)學(xué)校當(dāng)一年或者兩年的英語老師。之后我又搬到海峽對岸的臺北住了幾年然后回到福州，最終于2013 年 10 月首次來到廈門。8 年過去了，我依舊沒有回英國的打算。

Ecuador is known for its location right in the middle of the world, there are other countries laying on the Equatorial line, but Ecuador is the highest among the others that is why it gets this distinct characteristic. In Quito you will be in one of the highest capitals in the world and you can step in the north and south hemisphere at the same time. Another interesting place about Ecuador is the Galapagos Islands, the same place that inspired Darwin to create the theory of the evolution.厄瓜多爾以其位于世界中部而聞名，還有其他國家位于赤道線上，但厄瓜多爾是所有赤道國家中最高的，這就使得它獨(dú)具一格。在基多，你將置身于世界上最高的首都之一，你可以同時(shí)涉足北半球和南半球。厄瓜多爾另一個(gè)有趣的地方是加拉帕戈斯群島，正是這個(gè)地方啟發(fā)了達(dá)爾文創(chuàng)造了進(jìn)化論。
